Welcome into this world, where God’s hope breaks through into daily life.
Life lived in this space, where we give Hope a chance to break through, is the potential place where both the mundane and the dramatic-chaotic daily intersects in a constant dialogue with God. This is a real, tangible place. Sound impossible? Not really.
It’s true, sometimes in my life, it takes me longer to recognize the Voice of Hope, to hear and see and digest; but vibrant Hope is always present.
Even when I’m struggling and can’t seem to hear God. Or when things are going well, and I forget that really, it’s all a gift from God anyways.
I invite you to journey with me in my blog and into my life.
Feel the pulse of what God says through unusual clouds in the sky, games like Jenga, ‘jerk’ sauce in my fridge, seasons of ongoing serious health issues (like breast cancer in 2014-2015) and mounting pressure in close relationships where the breaking point comes and leaves us limp, shaken and reaching for healing.
Life happens. We can’t decide to press pause so that we can make sense of the chaos or frustration, or somehow fix things. But these become moments where God’s Presence and His words of love and hope are positively life altering. In a very real and very tangible way.
My goal is to challenge you to explore the stream of connection that God is pouring out continually to you, throughout your daily life, no matter what is going on around you.
There really aren’t any moments in life, where God isn’t talking to you, thinking about you, or loving you.
God is creative and spontaneous and He never runs out of amazing messages of love and hope … He loves to surprise us with dialogue; conversations that go beyond words.
He speaks through sunsets, tangled computer cords, bad traffic, snarly people … and has messages of grace and truth for us. God is soooo present – and never at a loss as to how to connect with us.
Like the little boy Samuel, in the Old Testament, who was just learning how to listen and hear God speak, I find myself often thinking that I am still learning too: Speak Lord, your servant is listening.
These moments of listening become the moments where we encounter God. Every single area of our life where we encounter God we become transformed. God changes our lives from dull or impossible, to vibrant and unlimited. God’s Hope and Life has substance which becomes our experience.
Here is our invitation to step into hope: God offers us hope, and that hope will become our experience when we reach out for it.
Once we begin to recognize the gentle release of God’s hope and love in our lives, through even mundane things, this is where we begin to notice the transforming power of God at work in our life
Healing our hearts where there are wounds. Restoring our bodies where we are broken and sick. Oprning our lives to receive true hope, vibrant life, and unending conversation with Him, our Almighty Creator and Restorer.
